East beach view from the pier

There are a number of beaches along the coastline associated with different areas of the coast at Bognor Regis to enjoy, all of which have large expanses of sand at low tide.

East beach is the most popular beach and is closest to the town centre with a number of mainly seasonal concession stands along the promenade that serve ice creams, hot and cold snacks as well as tea and coffee. There are also toilets on the promenade towards Butlin's.

The promenade at Bognor Regis stretches some 2.7 miles all the way from Felpham to the east, to Aldwick to the west.
